Chest by PaperandDust Chest by PaperandDust
An old chest I found at the tip, which had mold and crap growing on it...I took it home, cleaned it and fixed it up, shoved a cog on the front and spent the afternoon glueing newspaper and crap inside of it before covering that with watercolour and fabric and drawing a retarded bird on it.
I shall keep it till I die. :)

I think this is pretty creative! I love the cog on the front, it adds a personal touch to it and makes it really unique :)

If you're keeping it until you die, can I have it once you're dead? Lol. Just kidding. But, in all seriousness, I think that you did a really good job with this. :3 I love to see when someone makes something bright and beautiful out of something old and damaged. I hope that you enjoyed doing this one enough to maybe continue. Just keep an eye out for junk boxes at yard sales and junk yards and shit. x) Either way, I wish you the best of luck with your future ventures.

Looks very cool ^^ I'm jealous, I can never find neat stuff when I go exploring or to fleamarkets or anything of the sort. Did you happen to take a before picture? That would be interesting to see how much it changed.

Thanks!
At the moment, my knitting. :) I'll probably fill it with some journals soon, though.

Really cool find, I love how you're using older objects and repurposing them. I'm just curious, you mentioned you found this at the "tip", is this like a thrift store or something?

Thanks - Hah, using older objects is good, as the template is already there...The 'tip' is a large junkyard outside my town, were all the furniture and crap and pretty much everything people don't want gets piled up. It makes for some amazing finds.

Oh that's brilliant, I've always wanted to get a chance to explore a junkyard like that. Most of the places similar to that near where I live are not open to the public. Very cool!
