Moleskine is actually usually quite terrible for watercolours, I find! I did this one in a leather bound book of nondescript brand, which is unfortunate, otherwise I'd share! Any old watercolour pad is probably the same quality, though... If you have a Jackson's Art store around at all, they stock great sketchbooks that'll yield similar results. Thanks, by the way!
Aw too bad No Jackson's Art store in central Europe, I'm afraid... I'll have to resort to buying online, I've heard Stillman and Birn have great sketchbooks so I might give it a shot, it just gets very expensive with the shipping.
The thing I hate the most about Moleskine is the format. I'd deal with the paper if they made a portrait bound notebook, but they just won't.
Haha, they probably do - I'd suggest book marking that site, though! Sme fantastic stuff rocks up on it most of the time, especially deals like this. There's something a tad addicting about art supplies :/
Yeah I know about the site, but wasn't aware they had stationery too! I just ordered it as well. Hehe yeah tell me about it, I should not be allowed anywhere near art stores, I always but stuff I don't really need at the moment, but would be "nice to have"..
Haha, they probably do [...]
You mean the A5 portrait bound watercolor book? Nope, it just doesn't exist, not even on the official Moleskine web site... but I do hope they start making it in the future.
