Sometimes, people would disappear... heading off into the night, looking for lost items - never to return. People learnt never to search. They just went missing too, if they did. It was said that the deep ones were jealous of the people... That humans had something they could never possess, so they took them- hoping to gain it. All the people truly knew was that it was only a matter of time before someone else was taken... Mostly the children. And when they were...
