...Another re-covered notebook. When I did this one I had just finished delving through Nordic legends - They were the main inspiration for it, with the tree being Yggdrasil, the World Tree, Jörmungandr, The Midgard serpent, which encircles the entire earth, coming around to bite it's own tail... And of course Jörmungandr's father, Loki - Also known as the Father of lies and deceit, who was tricked horrifically himself. After completing it, though, I realized that it could also be taken as a representation of the Creation story from a Christian's point of view - Lucifer, the Tree of knowledge, and Adam / Eve... As such, it's open for interpretation.
i have been in awe of this fot a while know and im not religious in anyway but i can really see the aspects of adam and eve because of the apple free and the snake within the tree, however i still fine it incredibly beautiful, you are such an amazing artist
Where do you get the ideas for these covers? Do you sit and ponder what to draw next? I want to do something similar like this to my journal, but I'm drawinga blank. Where do you get the inspiration?
